We say “as Redbiller” because we are actually five years old, but two years ago, on the 24th of May 2021, we rebranded to Redbiller Technologies Limited. And it was a good one for us because the name Redbiller perfectly fits what we have grown into as a company. It also paints a picture of what we will continue to work towards as a team.
What inspired the name “Redbiller”?
The company started as a software development company, and Redbiller was one of our earliest products alongside Tranzaact, an e-commerce and payment scheduling platform. Somehow, we have always played around with payments until we morphed into financial services in late 2019.
On what Redbiller stands for, Red signifies critical moments, and Biller suggests payments. So going by our name, we are your trusted partner in and through critical times.
Redbiller in the last one year
When we clocked a year, we had a long list of things underway, and we are particularly grateful that many of these have materialized with bigger things on the way.
Redbiller is currently present in 6 countries -Canada, the UK, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria. We expanded to five new countries across three continents in the last year alone. We also launched Waverlite, a platform that makes it possible to send and receive instant payments in over 40 countries and 20 currencies instantly. The next time you are asked to describe growth, just say Redbiller.
Furthermore, the team has doubled, and we currently have over 30,000 businesses and individuals who trust us to handle their payments across all our platforms.
We are proud of all that we have become and are becoming. But we couldn’t have done this without your continuous commitment to us as your payment partner. It has been a pleasure serving you these past two years as your partner.
The journey from here
As stated earlier, we have big things lined up, and in the coming weeks, you will begin to see those things. Before I forget, we recently got nominated for the Scale-Up of the Year Award at the Latam Startups Conference 2023 in Canada. And we are going for the win.
In the meantime, we remain committed to the cause of making the Internet a safer place for you to transact, innovate and expand.
