How is the month going?
The best part of April 2023 has to be the holidays. This month alone has two religious celebrations, and in Nigeria, that also means national public holidays. Short holidays often come and go really fast, like they never happened. And most times, all you do is sleep all through, though you have a long list of places you promised to visit once an opportunity comes. So, let us take a break from business stories today and explore five activities you should consider trying out during the long weekend of the Eid holiday.
1) Kayaking: I thought this was easy until the first time I tried it out. If you have strong arms and love challenging things, Kayaking is for you. If you also come from a lineage of fishermen, please don’t waste your ancestral talent; go Kayaking this holiday, and you will love it.
2) Sip and Paint: if your calling is Soft life and Rich Aunty vibes, this is for you. It could bring out a creative side you didn’t know you had. Even if you think you cannot draw to save your life, a trial of Sip and Paint will change your mind.
3) Karaoke: you don't need to have a great voice; it is about the fun and the beautiful memories you get to create with your friends. Music can make you feel at home among total strangers, and Karaoke gives just that atmosphere.
4) Swimming: if you are the type that would drown in a bathtub, use this holiday to start learning how to swim. Swimming is not just recreational; it is an essential life skill.
5) Movies: there is no way I will recommend fun activities, and movies won't be on the list. Movies are a great way to relax and engage your mind simultaneously. You might even learn a thing or two.
These activities are recreational, and this is good for your mental well-being. With a relaxed mind, you would resume work, ready to take on the world. Just go out there, and have fun. YOLO!
